Write Now and Forever

Family, we’ve reached our end of this blog! Looking back I wish I would’ve said more and did more and took just a little more time in creation of each post. BUT, I WAS WRITING!

Over the last eight weeks I’ve probably written more than I have in a year. Sometimes we get so caught up in our day to day that we forget to sit down and just write. This blog motivated me to continue to write and I may not be an expert but what I learn can help someone else. This blog put me on a schedule to progress further and set goals.

Recap time!

Week 1 set your Premise! You do not need any names. You just need a place to start and a goal to achieve by the end of your novel, script, blog, magazine, whatever it is you write.

ProjectIN Movie: An FBI agent tries to infiltrate an advance tech school

Week 2  Synopsis and structure! There’s sooooo many different structures to use, find what’s best for you and your project and Roll with it

ProjectIN Movie: Nutshell Technique  and listing out my characters

Returning my terrible handwriting to you. I know you missed it

Week 3 creating our setting! Building the world is extremely important to creating a story so that your audience understands.

ProjectIN Movie: The Institute of Innovative Minds

Week 4 Protagonist v Antagonist! Building characters people can relate to or sympathize with is key to a good story.

ProjectIN Movie: Agent Christopher Blaese (Protagonist) Dr. Daniel Hill (Antagonist)

Week 5 Structure, Structure and More structure! Break your story down and expand every point of plot. Create obstacles for your characters and a means to overcome them or fall short.

ProjectIN Movie: Three act structure

ACT 1 getting the job

ACT 2 Infiltration and successes

ACT 3 Caught and shamed

Week 6 BEAT SHEET! For my script writers, plan plan plan! You got to know where you’re going, know where you want to be, and know when you should be there. It’s like planning a vacation! You have to make you’re flight so what time should you leave your house so you can make it through baggage claim, TSA, and get some food before the flight

ProjectIN Movie: just the first ACT

Week 7 INT. SCRIPT TIMELINE the infographic! This was really important for me to get out. It was a compilation of everything I’ve learned before writing my script rather than just taking the premise and just rolling with it for 90 pages.
