MCs: Agent Blaese Vs. Dr. Hill
What’s up, family? This week we’re talking characters, characters, characters; more specifically main characters! I will take you through the setup for my two MCs (main characters) for Project IN: Christopher Blaese and Dr. Daniel Hill.
It’s extremely important to know your characters like they’re your best friends and you can’t choose between which one you want to be your best man at your wedding cause you’ve known one longer but the other seemed to always be there when you were down so you you just cop out and make them both your best man…
…Anyways…I’ve created a sheet to help create really awesome character designs; you can find that here. This sheet takes you through the character’s inner feelings, personal, home, and professional lives, personal facts (sex, gender identity, height, ethnicity, etc.), Facial features and physique, and lastly character inspiration. The sheet also has song affiliation however, that not as important for others as it is for me. Song affiliations help me visualize my character better; but if it’s not for you feel free to skip it!
As I said before KNOW YOUR CHARACTER! If you do not properly plan this step writing from their personal perspective with their dialect and grammar choices becomes near impossible.

Protagonist:
Christopher Blaese
Personality:
Christopher is careful and cunning though he portrays himself as reserved. He won’t speak up for himself much to keep his cover to get what he wants. He however, does care about the people around and doing the right thing; but, he will stick to his mission to get it done no matter the cost.

Personal and professional life:
Christopher works for the FBI and CIA. He is fourth in command of an undercover group code named the 800. This group has never failed a mission; they have infiltrated ranks in Isis; then destroyed the base without a trace and Communist regimes in Russia. Agent Blaese specializes in tech; he is a hacker creating untraceable web footprints. However, he is an amazing field agent as well.
He lives in an upper middle class neighborhood with his wife, Julia Blaese, and son, Lewis Blaese. Lewis was accepted into the Institute of Innovative Minds due to his incredible coding ability and app ideas.

Personality:
Dr. Hill is cool and collected in all situations; he very rarely shows emotion besides happiness. He is optimistic and forgiving. He stands for free thinking and relaxed rules because he believes people are good at heart. People around him think he’s naive for thinking that; but, because he stands so strong in his beliefs people can’t help but follow his lead.

Home life:
Daniel grew up in a middle class household, where his mother was the breadwinner, His father was laid off and went job to job until he passed, when Daniel was 14 years old. Before he passed he gave Daniel wisdom to go out and change the system. His father didn’t learn how to utilize the STEM field and was basically left behind in the world.
At age 25, Daniel graduated from Boston University with a Ph. D. in engineering. During his tenure at Boston he began his own real estate company that took off and made him over $100 million. After graduation, he applied to start a charter school and took what he learned in the program and all his investments to begin building The Institute of Innovative Minds as efficiently, eco-friendly, and cost effective as possible.
Also, during his time at the University, he met the love of his life Lauren Taylor, who was in the Doctoral program at Boston studying Earth and Environment. She helped ensure that the institute was eco-friendly.
Currently, Dr. Hill lives with his fiancee, Lauren Taylor, and newborn daughter, Amara Isadora Hill on the Institute’s campus. They are very happy together
