Nut Shell: Innovative Minds
This week we will be focusing on building the story! By using our storyline and creating an overall synopsis of what will happen throughout the entirety of the story. The storyline will be created by utilizing Jill Chamberlain’s Nut shell Technique. Find more information from her, here.
I know, I know, I know….My handwriting is amazing I typed out for you all anyway. Our protagonist is Christopher Blaese who wants to infiltrate the Institute and get the tech information for the FBI. His strength is that he is always aware of his surroundings through tireless work with the FBI and CIA; however, his flaw is that he was not careful enough going into this advanced school so he is unaware he has already been found out. In act one, he hits his point of no return when he gets the job as a teacher and facilitator at the school; however as stated earlier, the principal already knows who he is and his goals. Agent Blaese’s triumph comes when he finally cracks the code to the most secure tech. Act three begins with the climax, when he can’t get out of the building to get his findings back to the FBI. And in the final scene he is publicly shamed by students and faculty after they find out what he was up to.

*I do this so I can hit all parts of the story when I begin to write it and add in where it is needed*
The FBI is sent to investigate a school who has technology beyond comparison to modern innovation; however the institute refuses to sell it to the government. During The Institute of Innovative Mind’s annual Innovation fair, the FBI establishes a plan to infiltrate the fair and detain the principal. When they enter the school, all of their weapons are dropped and one of their squad members has disappeared, Agent Christopher Blaese.
After the FBI’s first infiltration ended in complete failure, Agent Blaese returns and the Bureau hatches a new plan; Agent Blaese to get a teaching job there. So, they forge his credentials and prepare him for what he will be doing in the field. A few months pass, and he finally interviews and gets the job. However, the principal, Dr. Daniel Hill already has a clue of who he is.
When he starts the job, the students and fellow faculty really seem to like him and he becomes acquainted with the job very quickly. During this, he is also sneaking around taking blueprints and experimental tech. He is learning everything he needs and sending it back to the FBI. He finally cracks the code to hack into their most secure experiments.
After they receive the transmission, and see the blueprints for secure experiments the files get corroded and shut down the FBI’s systems and deletes anything related to the institute. Then, agent Blaese tries to get out of the school and runs into Principal Hill. Dr. Hill already knowing who he is gives him an ultimatum: to leave without people finding out what he was doing and never return or allow the students, faculty, and all of the world to know who he really is and what the FBI was trying to do.
Blaese leaves then returns to try and steal the information they lost. So, when Dr. Hill finds out he publicizes what happened at the institute and Blaese is shamed by all he was friends with and the FBI is distrusted by the nation.
Next week we will begin to fully explain what The Institute of Innovative Minds is, why it was created, and who attends the school and works at the school.
